That doesn’t mean they’ll leave with braces. It simply gives Dr. Teeters a chance to monitor how their teeth and jaw are developing. By catching issues early, we can guide growth, simplify future treatment, and often avoid more complex interventions down the road.
How Early Treatment Works
Your child’s first visit is all about building a healthy foundation. Around age seven, a child’s mouth has a mix of baby teeth and permanent teeth. This is the perfect time for Dr. Teeters to assess bite alignment, jaw development, and spacing concerns before they become bigger problems.
In most cases, we’ll place your child on a comfortable observation schedule. That means no active treatment—just regular check-ins to make sure their smile is growing the right way. But if early issues are spotted, we may recommend Phase 1 treatment to gently guide jaw and facial growth.

Here’s how it works
Every time your child comes in for their six-month growth and development visit, they’ll earn a new collectible pin—just for showing up with their Kids’ Club membership card!
They can also earn pins by completing simple, smile-friendly tasks. Just snap a photo of them in action or have them post it on social media and show us the post at their next visit.
It’s fun, simple, and a great way to keep your child engaged in their orthodontic journey—one pin at a time.
